You look at the recent reports in The Royal Gazette and you have to wonder: is Bermuda actually ready for gaming yet?
Without delving into the ins and outs of the articles, you just have to wonder whether it is a mature enough country, or society, to deal with everything that gaming can and will bring.
The first casino is not even up and running, yet over the last few days we’ve seen a public airing of many disagreements between various parties, many of which have yet to be resolved.
It begs the question: what else can we expect? What else will the rest of the world read? What will the gaming world think? It can hardly think that Bermuda is a good jurisdiction in which to base a multi-million dollar casino, can it?
Seems like we are doing a bit of gambling of our own.
