Ok, OK. So you are bored of the subject now, I know.
However, if you are prepared to campaign for something, be prepared to bore people but if you believe in what you are doing, be prepared to stick to your guns.
Readers will know that I am a dim view of the way people behave on our roads. Today I came into work on my bike, which always gives a different perspective.
This is what happened:
- A car tailgated me for about half my journey into from St David’s.
- A school girl pulled out into the road on her bike in front of me, forcing me to slow down and take avoiding action.
- A souped up Merc overtook me when the road had a yellow line – ie do not overtake
- And last but not least, a bike rider with a child standing in the footwell undertook me.
This was in a 25 minute bike ride.
The police say a road safety campaign is on the cards. When? Now is not soon enough.
