I hear politicians giving their condolences (and to those I add my sincerest condolences) but I do not hear them saying they will back a planned police road safety campaign.
I do not hear them saying they will make sure it is adequately funded and that they will meet the Police Commissioner to see how soon they can get it started.
I hear them say ‘please drive carefully especially in the run-up to Cup Match’ but what about the rest of the year?
I do not hear a community outcry, I do not read editorials or opinion pieces saying we need to do something about this, yet the media, alone, could do an awful lot to turn public opinion.
Come on, stop this murder on our roads.
