Some feedback on my Blue Halo article

Here are my ideas, many are educated assumptions but nevertheless:
1) the POTENTIAL marine mining resources will be far more costly to harvest off of Bermuda than off the coast of other countries, second to this I don’t hear of any reports of valuable minerals, oil or natural resources being found off our shores. Even if there were, could it compete in the markets with more established land based operations elsewhere which would be less costly to get. Remember we are at least 600 miles from anywhere.
2) Bermuda COULD indeed be a world leader, however based on my observations during my lifetime, Bermuda politicians are scared to lead and only wait to follow if another jurisdiction does it to rationalize any action.
3) Hasn’t it already been proven that the economic value in the long run of leaving natural resources untouched far exceed the temporary profits from mining or harvesting those resources. The only persons that are going to be against this Blue Halo project are those that seek to rape the environment of its resources for their immediate financial benefit with no regards to the damage caused or the overall cost that will be incurred by successive generations.
I’m not a Blue Halo “fan”, supporter, member etc. I’m a 32yr old black Bermudian that thinks that if something makes the most sense, that’s what we should do. What’s the hold up Bermuda?
